On Sept. 5, 2019, The Vosswood Nursing Center in Houston welcomed residents and associates, Houstonians and local officials (including the presiding judge, Dan DeBose from Precinct 0303) to vote in the Harris County election.

“Over 100 voters had submitted their ballots by 8:30 a.m.,” said DeBose. “We’re very pleased with the turnout.”

DeBose shared that the 2016 presidential election voting was also held at The Vosswood and got a little crazy.

“We kind of made a mess of this place,” he chuckled. “We’re already getting ready for the upcoming 2020 presidential election.”

Cassity Jones, Vosswood executive director, said, “It’s always great to be involved in civic and community engagement. “We’re honored to open our doors and welcome registered voters.”

Voting booths remained open until 7 p.m.
